The under-signed having been appoint-
ed by His Excellency the Governor on the one
side and His Excellency the General Officer Com-
manding on the other to make recommendations for
the settlement of outstanding questions between
the Colonial Government and the Military Author-
ities connected with land in the Colony, have
conferred together and have now to submit the
following proposals:-
Flus
(1) That the plot of land at Gun, ill
shewn on the tracing which accompanied Major-
General Black's letter No.1071 / 2.7/5 of the
18th of May 1898, and already transferred to the
War Department but the pecuniary value of which,
to be credited to the Colonial Government, is in
dispute: together with the additional land shown
on the tracing which accompanied Major-General
by red lines

Gascoigne's letter No.1071/2/34 of the Brd.of
February, 1900.: and the plot of land shown on the
tracing attached comprising the hill immediately
adjoining Gun Club hill on the North West, be
transferred to the War Department for so long as
the land shall be required for Barracks or other
Military purposes, in exchange for the release
from Military reservation of (a) the plot of
land shown on the annexed tracing and which form
ed the subject of the Colonial Secretary's late
ter No.212 of the 6th.of February, 1899, and which
it is understood the Colonial Government will
drain for the purpose of fitting it for a Public
Recreation
